Connecticut Business Advice, Counseling and Representation

Closeup of a business handshake

At the Law Offices of Emily S. Lucibello, we advise and counsels clients on several aspects of business law in Connecticut, including business entity selection and formations, such as Limited Liability Companies (LLC) and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP), business operation considerations, and issues arising in business litigation including business disputes, breach of contract claims, and contract disputes.

We are honored that several new and established businesses, including law firms, have sought our advice on considerations inherent in both forming and running a successful business.  In fact, Attorney Emily Lucibello assisted as a panel speaker at three New Haven County Bar Association (NHCBA) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses entitled, “Hanging Up Your Own Shingle.”  These CLEs focused on starting a new law firm and were marketed to benefit both new and established legal practitioners.  As a panelist alongside Attorney Tara Knight and Attorney Christopher Duby, Attorney Lucibello spoke at the first of CLE these courses in January 2011.  After the success of that pilot CLE, the NHCBA incorporated this informative CLE as a part of its annual “Nuts & Bolts” series in 2011 – 2012, and again in 2013.  Also in 2013, Attorney Lucibello was asked to speak at a seminar held at Quinnipiac University School of Law to discuss running her small business in Connecticut, and provide guidance to other aspiring entrepreneurs.

For established businesses, Attorney Lucibello has successfully defended and represented small businesses and corporations in disputes arising out of contracts and breach of contract claims, including disputes related to the interpretation of non-compete provisions.  She is also experienced in providing advice on the considerations inherent in admitting new partners or members, negotiating favorable terms for business deals, participating in business acquisition, and resolving internal business disputes amicably. Attorney Lucibello also serves as outside general counsel for CT businesses, providing advisement

Among her past and present clients are local small businesses including marketing and website development firms, construction companies, real estate developers, investment firms, companies engaged in the installation and servicing of ATM machines, family-owned partnerships engaged in the practice of accounting, small clothing and home goods retailers, restaurants and bars, local contractors.  She has also represented larger companies and corporations including a local car dealership, as well an independently owned distributor of international transportation products.

From her Milford, CT law office, Attorney Lucibello is able to provide legal representation to business and corporate clients statewide.
