Emily S. Lucibello  has owned and operated a law practice in Connecticut since 2009.  Her work has been recognized by the publication “Super Lawyers,” in which she has been consistently named to the New England and Connecticut Rising Stars lists since 2012; in 2012 for Criminal Law, and in years 2013 – 2016 for Family Law.†

Attorney Lucibello is admitted to practice before the Connecticut State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) from Quinnipiac University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.

Attorney Lucibello is experienced in litigating and resolving a wide-range of cases.  In her family law practice, and as a Milford divorce attorney, Attorney Lucibello has experience litigating divorce and custody cases through trial throughout CT.  She is also skilled in taking a collaborative approach to negotiate and mediate cases that have limited issues in contest, or where the parties feel that their particular circumstances will be better served by undergoing a process that is more private and amicable.  She can discuss these options with you, when you contact our office.

Attorney Lucibello is regarded for her knowledge and experience in starting and operating a small law firm.  She has been consulted on the startup of several law practices by seasoned attorneys, and has conducted 3 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses for the New Haven County Bar Association.  She was also invited to conduct a seminar at Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2013 to address the startup and operation of a law practice.  Having owned and operated a small business in CT for several years, Attorney Lucibello has personal knowledge of the distinct issues that small business owners face.  Her inherent and personal understanding of business law issues allows her to advise business-owner clients on several issues implicit in a divorce.

In addition to her private criminal defense practice, Attorney Lucibello was appointed by the State of Connecticut to serve as “Assigned Counsel” in the Judicial Districts of Ansonia/Milford and New Haven for several years.  She has represented individuals accused of crimes throughout CT, and is experienced in defending against serious felony and misdemeanor charges.

Attorney Lucibello is actively involved in National, State, and local bar associations and practice-area focused associations, and has held several leadership positions.  Attorney Lucibello is also an active member of the UConn Alumni Association, and has season tickets for both UConn Football and Men’s Basketball.  She is a lifelong CT resident, currently living in Orange with her husband, a CPA and fellow UConn Alum, who is also a member of and asset to our legal team, their daughter, and their Golden Retriever.
